Yesterday was the 72nd Annual Golden Globe® Awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. I love award season, and I love analysing the key shapes, colours and trends which came through, so here goes...
Its all white..
White was a standout choice of colour this year, from Kiera knightlys smock (chanel) frock with ruffled collar and matching ruffled hems, to Rosamund Pike's cut out Vera Wang dress. White was worn long, lean and was accessorised with plenty of flesh peeping through.
Winners.. Babe Kate Hudson looked uber hot in her deep plunging Versace gown.
Losers.. Kiera unfortunately. It may be chanel, and you may be pregnant, but its not cool to dress how our Amish mothers did in the 1970's.
Scarlet Woman..
Shades of scarlet to oxblood dominated last nights red carpet. Helen Mirren chose Dolce and Gabanna and accessorised her gown with a fountain pen brooch in tribute to Charlie Hebdo. While Heidi Klum looked like a knock out bombshell in an asymmetric shoulder versace gown.Winners: Allison Williams in the most beautiful silk organza Armani Prive gown. You go sister... Brunettes do rock a red gown well without looking too brassy,.. sorry Blondie's!
Losers.. I'm normally a huge fan of Kate Mara's fashion choices, but on this occasion the .. I've just dragged my gown through a huge puddle, and stuck this old Nude belt on.. left me reeling. Why ruin a perfectly gorgeous Miu Miu gown?
50 shades of..
There was more talk around the colour, rather than the hotly anticipated film, which is due for release on the 14th February, however silver was the choice of metallic for the evenings awards.
Winners: Diane Kruger in Emilia Wickstead- might be one of m favourite looks from the night and Kate Beckinsale in just the right amount of sparkle.
Just because...
I don't think I've ever seen such a gorgeous pant suit and I'm not normally a huge fan of sashes, but on this occasion it works to perfection. Oh and did I mention the hair? The cherry lips and alabaster skin?
